About KTS

Hi, I’m Kennedy — founder, maker, and heart behind Keeping Things Simple.

After eight years in public education, I saw firsthand just how much teachers juggle every single day. The long hours, the endless expectations, the pressure to show up for everyone — it can be overwhelming. I started this business with one simple mission: to encourage educators through meaningful apparel and digital tools that help them feel seen, supported, and maybe just a little less weighed down.

But the story doesn’t stop there — because Keeping Things Simple is rooted in more than just creativity. It’s rooted in my faith.

My journey hasn’t been neat or easy. I became a mom as a teenager, raised two babies outside of marriage, walked through divorce, and heard “impossible” more times than I can count. And still — God showed up. Again and again. I finished high school, earned two college degrees, and now I get to chase my dream of owning a business — one that’s built on grace, second chances, and walking in purpose.

This space is a no-judgment zone. I’ve lived enough life to know that we all fall short — but He wants us anyway. Every design I create is meant to speak life and hope into your everyday, whether you’re in the classroom, in transition, or just in need of a reminder that you’re not alone.

Keeping Things Simple is about more than shirts and stickers — it’s about sharing encouragement that sticks.

Thanks for being here. I’m so glad you are.
